Did not see Jason Boland's name in Red Dirt Documentary promo material. If you did a documentary about Red Dirt music, and did not include Jason Boland, then how can it really be taken seriously?

Hi,
Thank you for asking that question! We often get the question, "Why wasn't (fill in the blank) in the film?"
The class project was only for 8 weeks this summer. This incredible musical genre has been around for more than 30 years with many singers, songwriters, musicians, promoters, managers, venues, fans, and radio personalities that we wanted to interview.
However, due to many different reasons, we did not get to include everyone. It is not a reflection of anybody. As we say in the arts - it just is.
Please remember this film is but a snap shot of Red Dirt Music. The words in the film are not the production team's - they are the words of the musical artists, singers, songwriters, radio DJ , and more. It was a great honor for all of us that they shared their stories with us.
It is hoped that you will continue to support of these fine musical artists, the venues, and all that have come to love RED DIRT MUSIC!!!
